Book 21
Penelope, my soon to be reunited queen, held a ceremony tonight to find a new husband. The task for the suitors to complete was to string my old bow and shoot an arrow through twelve axe heads. Eumaios brought out my bow and set it up at the front of the room. Then, who of all people but TELEMAKHOS tried. Hes trying to take my woman! No, i dont really think he was trying to take her but to see if he could measure up to dear old dad. Anyways, besides Telemakhos, Leodes is up first. He fails and then Melanthios suggests they grease the bow to make it bendable. As the grease solution is happeneing, i go outside to follow Eumaios and Philoitios. I tell these two loyal herdsmen that i am Odysseus. Yes i was not surprised how excited they were to see me, but i gave them orders on how we were going to carry out my plan of killing the suitors and winning back Penelope. My turn was finally up back inside and i did it! No man in the room could believe his eyes. Then Telemakhos stood by my side, sword in hand, we were ready to kick some suitor butt. Bring it on!

Last night, i was having trouble sleeping and staying asleep. The fight against the suitors i will one day have to face is constantly on my mind. Even though Athena reassures me that all things are possible if i have a god on my side, i am still unsure of what will come. I also noticed that Penelope the hott, is not being able to sleep because she was thinking of her loss of me, her hottie husband. I hear her pray to Artemis to kill her! NOOOO not Penelope i cry out to Zeus and he sends down a clap of thunder. This morning, i meet Telemakhus in the palace and we talk with pthers. The suitors, ew.., come in and again plot the death of Telemakhos, whats new around here?, and i am beaten on once again for being a poor defenseless beggar. Ctesippus threw a cows hoof at me and my dear boy Telemakhos stands up for me. But they don't know what they have coming for them. Its difficult to know really whats going to happen, but sometimes dreams can predict the future.

Book 19
Tonight, I was approached by my hottie, babe of a wife, Penelope. She kept questioning me of the whereabouts of, me, odysseus. I described to her how i had met him, me, and where he was now. Because i was soo cooperative with telling her information about, me, i was offered a bed to sleep on but i declined to keep my cover. What i could not delcline however, was a foot bath. Penelope's loyal maid was washing my feet when she noticed odysseus's, my, scar. She immeditally recognized me and almost screamed in excitement. I mean who wouldnt scream when they saw me, come on, im the Big O! Later tonight, Penelope came to me asking for advice about a dream she had. In her dream, an eagle swooped down and killed all of er geese. It then talked to her saying that her husband, me, had put her lovers, also known as the suitors, to death. I explained to her what i thought it meant but she chose to choose a new husband by whoever can shoot the arrows through the holes of twelve axes. This would be a challenge, but come on here, as i said before, its ME, odysseus!

Book 18
Today was not very good. I was put in a situation where i had to choose weather to KILL a man or leave him alive. It was a close call but he is still living. Irus, this is the beggar that took me on not knowing that i am the great Odysseus. I was deciding against killing him and i chose to go with the gentler of punches just to get him to the ground, i mean it really is his fault, his almost dying and all, because He took the first punch and i get a little heated when im not on the battle field, i am eager to fight once again, but then I lectured Amphinomos and in tonights blog, i would like to reflect on the great words of me, Odysseus. I basically said: of all that are living, whats the point of having beliefs if the gods just come in and choose what happens to you. When i refer to our minds being like days because they are dark and light, it means nothign because the gods can completely over power that feeling. Then i explained how once i too thought to be happy but not accutally acheiving that feeling. Amphinomos was listening attentivley as i said be at peace with the gods and to not go against what they choose because it is the right thing to do. I said i saw these suitors living like pigs dishonoring the gods, and the wife they were fighting for, so may the gods tell them to go home and to not face , me, and set foot home. I cannot tell if they really understood what i was saying but i have had a rough day, farewell, and goodnight.

Book 17
It seems so soon that my dear boy had to leave, but i did recieve note that he was doing fine back at our palace. He went to see his mother staying out of view of the suitors. Eumaios and i could not stand waiting any longer so we set out on the same road, following in his footsteps. Unfortunatly, we run into Melanthius, a suitor... He was SUCH a jerk its not even funny, but i stayed calm with my amazing sense of self control and we kept on moving. And once again, unfortunatly, i saw my old pup Agros. I had trained him from a puppy to be a great hunter but i had to leave. He was very old and brittle, and he then passed as he saw me for the first time in twenty years. This was VERRRRRRRRRY sad! I know everything has do die sometime, but this was just not an expected death. Once in my palace, the suitors began to gang up on the poor old beggar. Antinoos even went as far to beat me with a stool. Penelope heard of my beating and requested to see me as Eumaios leaves back to go to his hut. Now its just me and Telemakhos. BRING IT ON.

Book 16
At the swineherders humble household I got settled in. Just as a few days were passing, my long lost son, Telemakhos, shows up at the house! I was so extatic but seeing as I was disguised as a herder, no one could tell it was really me. Telemakhos told Eumaios, the herder, to go and find his mother, Penelope, and tell her of his arrival, but he said to be very careful as to not let the suitors hear his news for they were trying to kill him. As Eumaios left, Athena arrived outside the gate only for my eyse to see. She changed me back to the clothes of a god and gave me a nice clean shave. When I went back inside, Telemakhos could not believe his eyes. I introduced myself and told him that I was his father. Many tears were shed for many hours. These were not tears of anger, but tears of joy. I was finally home and I finally met my darling son. We both told a runner to bring news to Penelope of Telemakhos's coming and he arrived at the palace at the same time as Eumaios. The suitors heard his news but not Eumaios's. The brutes rounded up and plotted against my son, while they did this, Penelope gave a speech telling them to leave him alone. Eumaios arrived back at the hut and we feasted. Then I fell sound asleep. The subconcious was not haunting me anymore like it does to people who are not at rest with it.

Book 12
Yo, its the Big O I am here to explain to you what has happened since we were in the underworld. Elpenor asked us to give him a proper funeral and burn his items, so we did that as we returned to Kirkes island. She warned me of what was to come ahead. There were three Perils to look out for: The Seirenes, Skylls and Kharybdis, and Helios' cattle. As we arrived to each of these tasks, I had to explain to my ignorant men what we needed to do and why. We made it through Seireness and Skylls and Kharybdis but the Cattle threw us for a loop. There was a ceremony and a slaughter of all of these animals we were not supposed to touch, but then I woke up was it all a dream? Usually people are confused when they wake up from dreams because they believe their dreams were accutally happening.

Book 11
Hello there, Odysseus here once again, my men and I were finally set loose from Kirkes hold on us and on our way to the underworld. When we finally arrived, we needed to sacrifice our finest black lamb down a well and some other goodies and treats for the gods, but this unlocked the shades of the dead. Their shades are the same thing as thier souls. First we spoke to Elpenor, one of our long lost beloved ship mate and he asked us to give him a rightful funeral when we arrived home. Next was Teiresias who made a prediction that I would be the only survivor or our voyage. It was not surprising since I am the strongest and manliest of our group, it seems fitting that I am the one going on. But she also prophisized that when I returned home there would be men trying to court to my wife and living in my home that I would slaughter like the men at Troy. After Teiresais was my mother telling me how she really passed on, her longing for me was too much to handle for her. At this point in my story Alkinoos interrupted me and told me that if they had to, they would stay up to hear the rest of my intriguing story. There were many more shades with whom i spoke to but finally Achilles found me. He complained about how sucky death was, which I could not imagine it would be cool. The shades helped me alot even though shadows usually cover up things, these ones enlightened me on life predictions about my own life I would not have without the shades.
